Living Perception

old vacillation

from tiny to vast all moves

what really is time?

I Can't Help It!

compulsive Haiku,

more commentary than art;

easy to abuse

Parking Lot Nap

eyes heavy with sleep

the sun-warmed car cradles me

soft rain plays on roof

Waking from Nap in Car

sun breaks bright thru clouds

crows cawing, seagulls mewing

asphalt glistens wet

Sky Shadow Puppets

like a school of fish

cloud shadows swim over land;

babes of high, white puffs

Stop Covering It All Up

give the green land space

open for rain, sun and life

if Earth breaths, we breath

Enigmas to the Grave

if stranger walks by

we are also his stranger;

do we know ourselves?

These Days

Mom and Dad working

children don't police themselves

the bills are piling up

Of Permanent Change

life is illusion

simply crescendos of form

transmuting matter

Silent Tripper

a cat under foot

dance well around it one must

move this way through life

Sink or Swim

storms and emotions

huge swells, dark skies . . . will I drown?

blue skies always show

Wise Old Snake

rough lessons in life

molting us to grow anew;

shed skin left on trail

Nature of the Pond

the pebble must sink

miraculous splash of life

our ripples live on

Horse Stampede

unbridled markets

proves Adam Smith was correct

greed will bring us down

Memories from my School Days

Ticonderoga!

yellow, green, eraser pink

sharpened pencil scent

Sticky Yin Yang

jelly-side down bad?

dog happily licks sweet floor

now make new sandwich

My Haiku.com Oops

idiot poet

Devious Winter

most snow in decades

a week of record flooding

yet two-thirds of norm

Haiku's Building Blocks

what are syllables?

stroke of tongue and form of mouth;

smooth, unbroken sounds

greatest achievement:

taking great risks and failing

without bitterness

Haiku's Building Blocks

what are syllables?

stroke of tongue and form of mouth

smooth, unbroken sounds

In the End

youth with all answers

elderly filled with questions

patience, acceptance

Surreal Talk

blogging in Haiku

structured release of ideas

beyond green nature

Next Door

neighbors and fences

there are fences of silence

then soft hard fences

Time Share

proliferation

man's procreation must wane

we can share Earth well

Nature's Precious Workers

hum-bees pack polins

visiting so many blooms

gold treasures for hives

Tenuous Justice

inadmissible;

   slightly botched evidence search

      -criminal goes free

Why We Are Here

peering on itself,

the universe celebrates

through our wondrous eyes
